Stores still on Magento 1. Magento 1 reached end of life in June 2020 and no longer receives official security patches. Every month on it adds risk, and extension and payment vendors keep dropping support.

What's included

Mage-OS 3.6 or the latest stable release, the community-driven distribution that stays compatible with Magento Open Source, installed and configured for your store.
Catalog migration: up to 1,000 products (simple and configurable), up to 5 attribute sets, categories, product images, prices and stock.
Customers and order history: customer accounts and addresses, plus past orders imported as history so customers can still see them. Existing passwords carry over and are upgraded to modern hashing on each customer's next login.
Your URLs kept or redirected: product and category URL keys are carried over, and anything that has to change gets a 301 redirect.
Up to 3 third-party extensions replaced with our purpose-built Mgwalk extensions, either ones from our catalog or a lean equivalent built for your store.
A Hyvä storefront in your brand: the standard Hyvä theme with your logo, colours and fonts. It is fast, it has no jQuery or Knockout, and the theme itself is open source with no licence fee.
Your content and setup: up to 10 CMS pages and their blocks, one payment method (Stripe, or one you already use), and your standard shipping methods.
A staging site you can click through and test before anything changes on your live domain.
One delta re-sync before go-live, so orders, customers and products added during the project are not lost.
Cutover and a 30-day bug-fix window after launch for anything that does not work as it did, or as agreed.

How it works

Assessment. After you order, we contact you to collect access (admin, database copy, file access) and review your catalog, extensions and customisations. You get a written plan that confirms what is in scope. If your store needs more than the package and options cover, you get a quote before any work starts.
Staging build. We install Mage-OS on a staging host, either your server or one we help you choose, with the production settings it will run with.
Data migration. Products, categories, images, customers and order history are imported and checked against the source: counts, prices, a sample of orders and logins.
Extension replacement. We agree with you which old extensions are actually needed, then replace each one with a purpose-built extension and drop the rest.
Theme. The Hyvä storefront is set up in your brand, and your CMS pages and blocks are moved across.
Testing. We check browsing, search, account login, cart and checkout with test payments, order emails and the admin. Then you test the staging site and tell us what to fix.
Cutover. We agree a quiet time with you, re-sync anything new since the first import, switch the domain and check the live store end to end. The switch itself usually takes a short maintenance window, not a day offline.
Support window. For 30 days after launch we fix bugs in anything we migrated or built, and we watch the logs for errors.

FAQ

Do I need to talk to you before I order?

You don't have to. The assessment happens after you order. If it shows your store needs more than the package and options you chose, we send a written quote for the difference first, and if you decide not to go ahead you get a full refund. If you would rather ask first, use the contact page.

How long does it take?

It depends on your catalog, your extensions and how quickly we get access and feedback. We give you a realistic schedule in the assessment, not before. A store inside the base scope typically takes a few weeks, not months.

Will my store be offline?

Your Magento 1 store keeps trading while we build and test the new one on staging. At cutover there is a short maintenance window, which we schedule with you for a quiet time of day.

Can customers still log in with their old passwords?

Yes, in normal cases. Magento 1 password hashes are imported and accepted, and each one is re-hashed with modern hashing the first time that customer logs in.

What happens to my SEO?

We keep your product and category URLs where we can and add 301 redirects where they have to change, so links and search listings keep working. Nobody can honestly promise rankings, and we don't.

Which extensions can you replace?

We can replace the common ones: product labels, review layouts, checkout tweaks, menus, SMTP, image formats and similar. We look at your list during the assessment and tell you which we replace, which Mage-OS already does natively, and which are not worth carrying over.

Do I own the result?

Yes. The store, its data and its theme are yours. The replacement extensions are licensed to your domain like any extension sold here, with updates included.
